Team building 101

Image
Welcome to my basic RSRS team building guide. RSRS is quite  forgiving when it comes to team comp. You can throw almost anything together and they'll work. There are a few pointers however that would make your life easier. The goal, is to have a team that can progress you through story mode until you reach 4-1-5 VH. Once you reach that stage, lots more team building possibility will open up since you can grind more and more units easily. Note that this guide doesn't go too deep nor too fancy. Meta and top tier are also not this guide's concern. 1. Basic composition 1-2 healers. The rest damage dealers. Yes it is that simple. Tanks are usually not require but is nice to build 1 up for boss and other stuff. Throwing some utility or mages into the mix can be very helpful as well. So let's pick our first healer. No reason not to pick Sophia really. Hard to believe but the game actually gives everyone a VERY GOOD healer for free. For second healer you have a

RS1 vs Noel

Youtube link - https://youtu.be/ATrpI2itFl8 Battling Noel with RS1 team proved to be quite a challenge. Not only RS1 lacks blunt units to exploit his weakness, only Gray possess STR down debuff. At least I can use the I-need-healer excuse to field Sophia which I consider a lucky break. At first I tried A Claudia instead of X'mas Albert for she can deal full damage to Noel. However pierce unit's weakness against slash was so sever she either die too quick or soak up too many heals. Although not proc'd often, A Hawke and S Guella Ha's STR down on-hit was a welcome addition. Team: A Hawke. S Guella Ha. S Gray.  SS Albert (X'mas) SS Sophia

RS1 VS Subier

Sorry for the lack of audio. I had no idea how recording work on phone :) Link to Youtube https://youtu.be/ydO8bZTv3UE So we got Subier as our first event boss. Planned to grind for another week before attempting, but gave it a try and surprise surprise I won. Team used: A Hawke because I couldn't draw his S S Guella Ha . What is Hawke without his buddy? S Gray because he's slash S Diana for poison SS Sophia because I needed a healer. Dianna did not land her poison until the very end, so it was 95% brute force win. With Gray and Sophia doing STR down, Subier did not hit very hard. Not sure how much help Guella Ha INT down was. Luckiest thing, as some pointed out, was how Subier did not use his paralyzing move against me. From 1-20, I did not see it even once.
